Dangerous Goods (DG) Notice for Air Shipments 

Mailamericas allows to receive from clients Lithium-Ion Batteries under UN 3481 PI 967 and PI966 Section II, and Metal Batteries under UN 3091 PI 970 and PI969 Section II. These are batteries that do not need to have a DG Declaration and can travel in Passenger Aircraft. These batteries are for most portable devices, watches, and toys. We recommend sellers to add a battery label to easily recognize at WH a parcel that contains battery.

Important: Some e-commerce products are classified as Dangerous Goods (DG) under international air transport regulations (IATA). Please review your items carefully before shipping.

Products commonly considered DG include:

• Lithium batteries (loose, built-in, or with equipment)

• Perfumes, sprays, and cosmetics containing alcohol

• Aerosols (deodorants, cleaning sprays, etc.)

• Chemicals, powders, flammable or pressurized liquids

As your logistics partner, we are required to comply with airline and customs safety standards. Shipments containing DG must be properly declared and packed according to regulations.

Undeclared DG shipments may be rejected, delayed, or fined. Always verify your product classification to ensure smooth and compliant delivery.

How to Declare Dangerous Goods (DG)?

You can declare DG cargo in one of the following ways:

• Labeling: Identify the boxes containing DG items by applying the appropriate DG sticker (for example, for perfumes, use the UN 3 label).

• Pre-alert Manifest: Indicate in the pre-alert which specific box(es) contain the DG cargo.

MailAmericas will issue the DG Certificate after inspecting the shipment at our warehouse.
